Sandra Iché studied History and Political Sciences at Université Paris I-Panthéon Sorbonne and performing art at The Performing Art and Training Studios (PARTS), Belgium. In September 2006, she joined the dance company Maguy Marin/ National Choreographic Center of Rillieux-La-Pape and performed with the company internationally. Since 2010, she pursues her artistic research on the logic of naturalization of constructed social realities and the fabrication and writing of History, through performances, interviews, movies, publications… In 2012, she conceived the performance Wagons Libres, a futurist fiction which deploys theater to deconstruct the documentary device. Wagons Libres is now touring in France and Europe. She is currently living between Beirut, where she manages Mansion, a cultural space co-founded with artist and architect Ghassan Maasri, and Lyon, where she is a founding member of LIEUES, an experimental art space and residency and of Rodéo, an interdisciplinary magazine for academic and artistic research.
