delphine sainte-marie
Delphine Sainte-Marie is an artist/scenographer. After pursuing a D.U.T in social sector professions, she studied scenography at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg. She relays her spatial impressions through video, costume, music, accessories, lighting — myriad ways of creating slippage between object and space, motif and landscape.
Her theatre work has involved assisting scenographer Eric Ruf on various plays directed by Denis Podalydès: Le Mental de l’équipe, Le Cas Jekyll and Le Bourgeois gentilhomme. She also assisted Alexis Forestier on the Elisavieta Bam project.
She has worked as a scenographer/costume designer with Frédérique Plain, Aymery Suarez-Pazos, the Ensemble Amarillis and Manuel Wéber, and also as video designer on the Trahison project directed by Léonie Simaga.
She has worked with choreographers Rémy Héritier, Arantxa Martinez and Stephany Thiersch —respectively, as costume designer, collaborator and scenographer. She assisted the lyrical artist Valérie Gabail in the production of her film, inspired by the Sacre du printemps directed by F.X. Roth.
She is currently working on the scenography for a show directed by the Baroque ensemble Les Ombres at the Saint-Étienne Opera.
